Just to start by clarifying on your point about the holder, we do make customers aware before checkout that we recommend a holder with our shower. I believe your review makes out like we've misled people, which we haven't. It's sold separately because many customers don’t need one, so including it as standard would unnecessarily increase the price of the shower and lead to thousands of holders ending up in landfill every year.
In terms of the filtration, I’m pleased to hear you’ve noticed some improvement, although I’m sorry it hasn’t been as significant as you’d hoped. We've been independently recognised as the #1 Handheld Filter in the UK, and we use more filtration ingredients than anyone else on the market, so the hard water deposits which you may be noticing won’t necessarily mean the filter has stopped performing, it’s just not designed for that purpose.
Our filter is designed primarily to reduce chlorine and heavy metals, which are the contaminants most commonly associated with dry skin and hair. While independent testing has shown our filter does reduce water hardness, it isn’t a replacement for a whole-home water softener, so I'd strongly recommend you add one of these in conjunction with our filter. In areas with very hard water, you’ll still experience limescale and mineral deposits over time.
